Day 01 - Arrive Kathmandu.Met/assisted at the Kathmandu airport with flower garlands and transferred by car to hotel.Overnight.
Day 02 - Breakfast at the hotel.
We embark sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city,also called `Kantipur`or city of glory,visiting,`KUMARI`the LIVING GODDESS,Kasthamandap,the Big Bell,Kal Bharab etc.We also visit `Swayambhunath temple.This is a Buddist temple set high on a hillock with a commanding view of the Kathmandu valley.
After lunch We visit Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath Stupa.Bouddhanath Stupa lies about six km to the east of downtown Kathmandu and is the largest stupa in the Valley. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating specimens of stupa design. Bouddhanath, a World Heritage Site, is also known as Khasti, or dew drops, after an account that builders had to use dew to mix the mortar as Kathmandu was suffering from a severe drought during its construction.
Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred hindu shrines in the world.
The richly-ornamented pagoda houses the sacred linga, or phallic symbol,of Lord Shiva. Chronicles indicate the temple's existence prior to 400 AD. Devotees can be seen taking ritual dips in the holy Bagmati river flowing beside the temple, also a World Heritage Site.
Day 03 - After breakfast,we drive to the picturesque, valley of Pokhara.Arrive Pokhara and tranfer to hotel.Overnight.
Day 04 - Early breakfst at the hotel.
Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1,577 m.): Two-hour drive to Birethanti, and start trekking following Bhurungi Khola .and reach Tikhedhunga.
Day 05 - Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,855 m.): Ascend to Ulleri Village through a plesant Rhododendron forest and arrive at the top of Ghorepani pass and overnight at lodge/Inns.
Day 06 - Rest day in Ghorepani:
Rest at Ghorepani and Excursion to the Poon Hill( the highest hill in the west in the
whole trek ), bird- eye.view of Mustang and Pokhara valleys, also provides clear view of
30 snow-capped peaks including the Annapurna range and Dhaulagiri.
Day 07 - - Ghorepani to Ghandrung (1922 m.): The trek gradually goes up through the thick forest to Banthanti where the lunch will be served. Then reach Ghandrung after two or three hours walk. Mt. Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhere (Fish Tail) and other snowy mountains can be seen beautifully from here.Overnight at lodge/inns.
Day 08 - Ghandrung to Pothana (1980m): Walk downwards to Modi river and ascend to
Landrung, a beautiful Gurlung village and lunch at Tolkha and yet another easy ascent up to Deurali. Overnight at Pothana.
Day 09. Pothana to Pokhara: ¾ hours easy way down via Dhampus village to Phedi then one hour drive to Pokhara.Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 - Breakfast.Drive back to Kathmandu.Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.Overnight
Day 11 - Breakfast at the hotel.We drive to Nagarkot.Time magazine of USA has recommended as one of the good retreats.Located 30 km to the east of Kathmandu on the valley rim.Situated at an elevation 2175 m and provides a grandstand paronama of the Himalayas.You can see five of the world`s 10 tallest mountains - Everest 8848 m,Lhotse 8516 m,Makalu 8463 m and manaslu 8163 m and many other lesser summits.The snow peaks look especially gorgeous during sunset and sunrise.Overnight at the hotel/Resort
Day 12 - Breakfast at the hotel.You may wish to wander around the villages or take short hikes and breath the pure and fresh mountain air.Tranquility and serenity for pure relaxation.Afternoon drive back to Kathmandu.Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 - Breakfast at the hotel.Day free.Overnight.
Day 14 - KATHMANDU (1300) - ZHANGMU (2,500M)/NYALAM (3700M):123 KM/156 KM
Early morning scenic drive to KODARI (Nepal - Tibet border) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside and after necessary border formalities both at Nepalese, an hour adventurous uphill drive by truck (normally) or 2 hour walk uphill (in case of landslide) to Chinese immigration, check-in to hotel or continue drive to NYALAM. Overnight at hotel.
Day 15 - ZHANGMU/NYALAM - TINGRI (4300M)/LHATSE (4,350M):225 KM/244 KM
Day drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world crossing over LALUNGLA (5,050 M), from where, weather permitting,breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including MT CHO OYU (8201 M) & MT XISHAPAGMA (8012M) but dwarfed by the vastness of the Tibetan
plateau. From TINGRI, one can ENJOY the magnificence of MT. EVEREST (8,848 M). Overnight at hotel.
Day 16 - TINGRI/LHATSE - XIGATSE (3,900M): 244 KM
Continue scenic drive crossing over GYATCHU LA (5,220M), the highest pass en route to LHASA via LHATSE from where a road to MT KAILASH bifurcates to the west. Overnight at hotel.
Day 17 - DAY 04 XIGATSE - GYANTSE (3,950M): 90 KM
Morning sightseeing to the PANCHEN LAMA'S TASHILHUMPU MONASTERY. Drive to GYANTSE and visit to the KUMBUM STUPA & PHALKOR MONASTERY. Overnight at hotel.
Day 18 - GYANTSE - LHASA (3,650M): 261 KM
Full day picturesque drive crossing over KAROLA (5,010M), KAMBALA (4,794M), colourful YAMDROK LAKE and the Tibetan lifeline river BRAHMA PUTRA (YARLUNG TSANGPO) - Overnight at hotel.
Day 19 and 20 - IN LHASA
Two full days sightseeing tour to LHASA including JOKHANG TEMPLE, BARKHOR
